**Job Title:** SEND Support Specialist
We are seeking a skilled professional to work as an Education and Health Coordinator within the Staffordshire Council on a 3-month contract.
About the Role:- Develop and implement education, health & care plans that align with relevant legislation and the Code of Practice.
- Provide support for adults and children with special educational needs & disability, coordinating with social work, Educational Psychology, Health, and other professionals as needed.
- Foster inclusive relationships with individuals with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families, respecting diversity and promoting choice and independence to achieve realistic outcomes.
- Analyze information to assess needs, strengths, risks, and potential, managing risks appropriately while developing tailored strategies.
- Arrange suitable support packages, negotiate costs, allocate funding, and ensure families are informed of financial responsibilities, maintaining transparency and efficiency.
- Maintain detailed records of assessments, decisions, and performance data, ensuring compliance with SEND EHC policies and safeguarding procedures.
- Significant experience in planning personalized support for individuals with disabilities, promoting independence and tailored progress.
- In-depth knowledge of disabilities, special educational needs (SEN), and their impact on individuals, families, and society.
- Skilled in empowering individuals and families to plan for immediate, medium, and long-term outcomes with dynamic options.
The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
