Teaching Specialist - SEN Support

Overview

Cannock, Staffordshire, is home to an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Specialist to join our team as an SEN Support professional. As a passionate advocate for students with special educational needs, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching and support.

This rewarding position offers the chance to work across various educational settings, including special schools and alternative provisions. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating inclusive learning environments where all pupils feel valued and encouraged to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and deliver tailored lessons to meet the unique needs of SEND pupils.
  2. Create a supportive atmosphere that fosters growth and development.
  3. Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adaptive strategies as required.
  4. Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external professionals to promote holistic pupil development.
  5. Provide regular progress updates to school leaders on pupil achievements and any concerns.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A child and adult DBS is required.
  • Proven experience working with SEND pupils in a classroom setting.
  • Strong understanding of different special educational needs and adaptability in teaching approaches.
  • Flexibility to work across various schools and year groups as needed.
Salary and Benefits
