SEND Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at a partner school in Staffordshire. As a key member of the support team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities, working closely with the classroom teacher to provide tailored support and ensure they have access to a meaningful and inclusive education. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with SEND in an educational setting and a passion for working with children.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
  • Assist in planning and implementing lesson plans for students with SEND.
  • Provide individualised support to students, promoting their academic, social and emotional development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a cohesive support network.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • A passion for working with children and a commitment to supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Previous experience working with children with SEND in an educational setting is highly desirable.
