Autism and SEMH Teaching Assistant

Academics Ltd is seeking an experienced Autism and SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working in schools to support children with Autism and SEMH needs who demonstrate challenging behaviour.
Your role will involve supporting the classroom teacher to enable them to teach effectively. This includes keeping students on task, helping them manage their behaviour, and encouraging emotional regulation. You will also provide one-to-one support to students who require additional help.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people with Autism and SEMH needs. You should be able to hold student attention and communicate effectively in tough situations. A competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, is on offer.
