Teaching Assistant for Children with Autism

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team and support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASC / ASD) in our schools.
About the RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes social interaction, emotional regulation, and academic achievement.
Responsibilities- Support pupils with ASC / ASD in the classroom and during extracurricular activities
- Develop and implement behavior support plans to promote positive behavior and reduce challenging behaviors
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide personal care and support to pupils as needed
- Qualified Teaching Assistant with experience working with children with ASC / ASD
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Emotional resilience and patience when working with challenging behaviors
We offer a competitive salary of £27,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including professional development opportunities, pension scheme, and generous annual leave.
