About the Role:

CV-Library is seeking an experienced SEN teaching assistant to support children with complex needs and disabilities in a large specialist SEN school.

The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting pupils with SEN requirements, additional needs, or disabilities, and be confident in working with children with autism, cerebral palsy, MLD, SpLD, or other SEN barriers.

You will be working with pupils aged 11-19 in the secondary part of the school, providing support across multiple classes, one-to-one teaching assistant work, and small class support.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the class teacher as part of a team of teaching assistants
  • Providing physical support, help with communication and interpersonal skills
  • Delivery of sensory curriculum based learning activities
