SEN Teaching Assistant

Academics is seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team of professionals working across multiple primary schools in Stoke-on-Trent.
The successful candidate will work closely with pupils with complex needs, including ASD, ADHD, and Behavioural needs, providing tailored support to enhance their learning and development.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEN policies and procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and other support personnel.
Salary: £22,000 - £28,000 per annum
Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with complex needs in their educational activities, promoting their confidence, independence, and social skills
- Assist teachers in developing and implementing individualised learning plans tailored to the pupil's specific needs
- Contribute to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters a sense of belonging and promotes academic achievement
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with complex needs, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong understanding of SEN policies and procedures, as well as effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and other support personnel
