About the Job: We are excited to offer a challenging and rewarding role for a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Job Summary: This permanent position is based at a specialist education school for children and young adults with special educational needs. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our students and contribute to their academic, social, and emotional growth.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with their learning in a safe and inclusive environment, tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Working collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and deliver engaging lesson plans, leveraging your expertise and knowledge to create an optimal learning experience.
  • Providing pastoral care and support to students, including assistance with personal care and daily living skills, to promote independence and confidence.
  • Establishing effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to facilitate smooth transitions, progress monitoring, and communication.

Requirements:

  • Fully funded opportunities to pursue further qualifications and enhance your career prospects.
  • A recognised Level 2 or above in Support Worker for Teaching & Learning in Schools.
  • Experience or knowledge of working with students with SEN or SEMH/ASD, enabling you to provide targeted support and adapt to diverse needs.
  • Enthusiasm, proactivity, and a genuine passion for working within the education sector, driving your commitment to delivering exceptional results.
  • Valid Full UK driving licence and access to your own car (desirable), facilitating travel between locations and enhancing your flexibility.
