Young People Well-being Coordinator

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Young People Well-being Coordinator to join our team in South Wales. The successful candidate will be working with children and young people, aged 10-18, to deliver engaging and creative sessions that promote their well-being.
The role involves developing and delivering programmes based on consultation with the children and young people, focusing on topics such as fake news, anxiety management, bullying, friendships, racism, street safety, and grooming.
You will also be responsible for running food, nutrition, and cooking groups for young people as part of our 'Access to Food' service, which includes planning meals, discussing healthy eating, nutritional value, budgeting, and teaching basic living skills.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and creative sessions for children and young people
- Develop and deliver programmes based on consultation with children and young people
- Run food, nutrition, and cooking groups for young people
Requirements:
- Proven track record of working with children and young people
- Ability to engage and listen to children to shape services
- Background in youth work, children and family services, residential services, and/or linked services
- Need to drive, have access to a car, and hold a current enhanced DBS
Salary Information: £16 - £19 + VAT per hour, estimated annual salary: £32,640 - £39,440 (dependent on hours worked)
