About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Charity People. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying funding opportunities, developing tender preparation strategies, and overseeing quality tender submissions.

You will be responsible for gathering information from academic research, local stakeholder engagement, and internal collaboration to inform your tender submissions. You will also foster partnerships both inside and outside of the organisation and are committed to co-production.

Reporting to the Business Development Director, you will play a pivotal role in developing a long-term business development pipeline, identifying areas for development, and upgrading systems/processes to enhance the organisation's competitive standing.

About You

You are a highly motivated individual with a proven track-record in producing high-quality tender submissions. Through the selection process, you will show us how you manage these important elements of the role:

  • Experience in writing tenders, bids, and grant applications
  • The ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong research skills and the ability to learn/know an organisation, what makes it unique and special, and how to demonstrate this through bid writing
