Head of External Communications

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of External Communications to lead our PR, Corporate Communications, and Press Office functions. As a key member of our Corporate Affairs team, you will play a critical role in protecting and promoting TalkTalk's reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic communications plans to achieve business objectives.
- Lead a small team of communications specialists and manage a PR agency to deliver high-quality communications services.
- Provide expert advice on communications and reputation management to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver key business priorities and drive business growth.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, investors, and customers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in communications and reputation management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in PR and communications, preferably in an in-house setting.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of leading a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to think strategically and develop effective communications plans.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
