About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of External Communications to lead our PR, Corporate Communications, and Press Office functions. As a key member of our Corporate Affairs team, you will play a critical role in protecting and promoting TalkTalk's reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic communications plans to drive business objectives and maintain a high profile for the company.
  • Lead a small team of communications specialists and manage a PR agency to ensure effective delivery of communications campaigns.
  • Provide expert advice on communications and reputation management, including crisis communications and media relations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure coordination of communications and achieve business goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key media contacts and influencers to secure positive media coverage.
  • Monitor and analyze communications metrics to measure campaign effectiveness and inform future communications strategies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in PR and communications, preferably in an in-house setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
