Head of External Communications

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of External Communications to lead our PR, Corporate Communications, and Press Office functions. As a key member of our Corporate Affairs team, you will play a critical role in protecting and promoting TalkTalk's reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic communications plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead a small team of communications specialists and manage a PR agency to deliver high-quality communications services.
  • Provide expert advice on communications and reputation management to senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver key business priorities and ensure effective communication across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, investors, and customers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in communications and reputation management.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in PR and communications, preferably in an in-house setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
