Residential Program Coordinator

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Residential Program Coordinator to join our team at Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children, Canterbury. As a key member of our Residential Youth Worker team, you will be responsible for providing daily care and support to young people in our Christchurch/Canterbury Care and Protection Homes.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child development and a passion for working with young people. You will work closely with our young people, helping them to achieve their goals and develop the skills they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
- Providing daily care and support to young people in our Christchurch/Canterbury Care and Protection Homes
- Developing and implementing individualized plans to support young people's educational, social, and emotional needs
- Participating in activities with young people and supporting them to engage with school and community-based programs
- Establishing rapport with young people who have experienced trauma and assisting with redirecting behavior
- Working collaboratively as part of a team to provide wrap-around support to our young people
Salary: The salary for this role is between $57,760 - $65,334, depending on experience.
