This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to leverage their expertise in tissue viability and wound care management to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of patients with complex wounds, prioritizing referrals, developing educational programs, and delivering training sessions. Your expertise will be essential in improving staff knowledge and skills in pressure ulcer prevention, leg ulcer management, and complex wound care.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage a clinical caseload of patients with complex wounds
* Prioritize patient referrals via a triage pathway
* Develop and deliver educational packages on wound care best practices
* Participate in educational and audit activities to drive quality improvement
* Assist the Lead Tissue Viability Nurse in achieving service objectives
Requirements
* Registered Adult/Child Nurse on the NMC Register
* Evidence of post-registration CPD and specialist experience
* Recognized mentorship course completion
