About the Role

MSL McKesson Strategic Services Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Account Director - Member Engagement to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and delivering exceptional results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of Account Managers to support our clients across multiple markets, including retail, health systems, specialty, and medical surgical channels.
  • Work closely with our Member Engagement team to identify strategic priorities and develop aligned goals across all client channels.
  • Develop and implement change activities to support the delivery of client goals, with a focus on generics sourcing and value-added services.
  • Collaborate with our internal stakeholders to ensure that all parties are informed and aligned on proposed changes and expectations.
  • Establish and engage in frequent strategic planning meetings to align buy-side and sell-side strategies and meet client evolving needs.
  • Present initiatives to our leadership team and clients to ensure alignment on resources and prioritization of activities.
  • Partner with our Analytics teams to analyze and evaluate market trends, assess changes in federal government orders or regulatory frameworks, and identify opportunities to minimize disruption.
  • Support our Leadership Team in evaluating and developing non-sourcing related initiatives that bring greater benefits to our clients.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction and Net Promoter Score (NPS) ratings.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of the US generic pharmaceutical market is desirable, with a preference for having worked in the market in a commercial role.
  • Pharmacy background is preferable but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree level.
  • Previous experience in strategy or change roles is preferred.

  • Ability to work with data, analyzing trends and translating them into actions.
  • Well-organized, process-oriented, and team-oriented with the ability to prioritize quickly.
  • Demonstrates strategic thinking and excellent commercial and financial acumen.
  • Ability to lead high-performing teams.
  • Proven experience working with leadership teams to develop and formulate initiatives that meet strategic goals.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all levels of management and internal/external customers to get results quickly.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to initiate and manage work with a sense of purpose.
  • Comfortable in effectively delivering bad news and managing conflict to successful resolution.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, results-driven environment that is constantly changing.
  • Willingness and ability to attend regular after-hours events and attend international industry conferences per year to remain abreast of market developments.
