Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Higher Analytical Officer to join our Risk Assessment, Selection and Forecasting team at the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing expertise in data analysis, quality assurance, and policy context, with a focus on one of our key remit areas: schools, further education and skills, early years, or social care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain technical skills in data analysis, quality assurance, and policy context
  • Specialise in one remit area and develop expertise in data for that area
  • Deliver high-quality outputs, including data analysis and inspection selection
  • Collaborate with high-achieving professionals at all levels to achieve team goals
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Excel, R, SQL, or similar coding languages
  • Experience in data analysis, quality assurance, and policy context
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a hybrid working model, with flexibility to work from home
