Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Higher Analytical Officer to join our Risk Assessment, Selection and Forecasting team at the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing expertise in data analysis, quality assurance, and policy context, with a focus on one of our key remit areas: schools, further education and skills, early years, or social care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain technical skills in data analysis and quality assurance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality outputs and insights
  • Stay up-to-date with policy context and regulatory requirements
  • Utilize data software programs such as Excel, R, Python, or SQL to extract, analyze, and present data
  • Communicate complex data insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
  • Proven experience in data analysis and quality assurance
  • Strong technical skills in data software programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
