Key Responsibilities:

  • To conduct comprehensive assessments of social needs and risks to children, focusing on parental capacity and ability to change.
  • To utilise reflective supervision, research, and guidance to recognise professional limitations and seek advice from various sources, including senior staff and managers through support systems.
  • To seek professional second opinions as required on legal issues, interventions, and plans impacting children and families.
  • To develop realistic child-centered plans within review timelines, managing and reducing identified risks while meeting child needs. Plans should be evidence-informed, demonstrate clear analysis, and professional judgment.
  • To continuously develop knowledge of child development and its impact on all aspects of life, including physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral development.
  • Maintain and update case notes and records for assigned children.
