As a Night Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the hotel during the overnight shift, ensuring that guests receive exceptional service and that all hotel operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all hotel policies and procedures.
  • Direct and assist overnight staff in their duties.
  • Ensure that guest tracking scores and employee opinion survey goals are achieved.
  • Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement.
  • Assist in the response and resolution of all guest issues received directly from guests or from Guest Relations.
Requirements:
  • Previous Front Office experience is essential.
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal, listening, and writing skills.
  • Resilience and ability to adapt swiftly to changing situations.
  • Ability to influence others positively.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Opera/Marsha knowledge.
  • IT skills.
Education and Certification:
  • High school diploma or GED; 5 years' experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.
  • OR
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 3 years' experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.

  • Planning and Organizing.
Security:
  • Maintain security of all hotel assets and report any loss or damage to the Shift Leader.
  • Comply with the Data Protection Act regarding the disclosure of information.
  • Complete security patrols of the property each shift throughout the night as per the checklist.
Managing and Conducting Human Resources Activities:
  • Ensure associate shifts are rostered and recorded on Kronos workforce management, ensure daily/weekly checks are performed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the Oracle system is maintained with regards to holidays/sickness and other absences.
  • Ensure appropriate training is delivered to the team H&S, Marriott training & discipline specific.
