The Role

We are seeking a full-time Plumbing and Heating Manager to join our team at Exmouth. As a key member of our branch, you will be responsible for leading and encouraging employees to maximise sales and margin for the Company. You will develop employees to build strong customer relationships, ensuring that no customer goes unserved.

You will lead and encourage employees to develop a well-managed and efficient department. You will give support to other supervisors in order that they may achieve the same. You will manage all aspects of colleagues and staffing within designated area of responsibility as determined by Branch Management.

You will support Branch Management in the effective operation of the branch and enforcement of Company policies and procedures. You will build strong relationships through face-to-face contact or over the telephone. You will ensure correct documentation is used and follow due process in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure customers are politely and efficiently served to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  2. Provide customers with advice and guidance on the selection and use of products and support colleagues in your areas of expertise.
  3. Give a flexible service to customers whether on site or in the customers' homes.
  4. Encourage colleagues to maximise sales using linked selling and other appropriate skills.
  5. Responsible for driving sales forward, ensuring your employees use appropriate selling techniques, e.g., effective quotation follow-up, proactive promotional selling, effective telephone marketing.
  6. Review regular processes and advise branch management of any changes to ensure optimal efficiency is maintained.
  7. Help the Company devise action plans for the future success of the showroom on a regular basis. Develop the sales of the showroom through marketing initiatives, in conjunction with suppliers, the marketing department, and Branch Management.
  8. Ensure that all enquiries and quotations are priced quickly and efficiently using market and system information to gain orders at maximum margin for the Company. All enquiries should be monitored to ensure that they are returned within three working days and followed up accordingly. A copy should be forwarded to any relevant representative.
  9. Manage, monitor, and effectively use customer special terms.

Working Hours

Week 1: Monday to Friday 07:30-16:30
Week 2: Monday to Friday 07:30-16:30, Saturday 08:00-12:00
