Job Description

**Job Title:** Hygiene Operations Manager

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hygiene Operations Manager to join our team at Higgidy. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, monitor, and review key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Prepare, review, and update service documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and training evidence.
  • Supervise and manage a team of hygiene crew members, ensuring all personnel issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Maintain all paperwork associated with hygiene and compliance responsibilities, ensuring adherence to legal and auditing standards.
  • Conduct regular site hygiene and fabrication inspections, identifying and addressing any areas of concern.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a food manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Microbiology for Non-Microbiologists understanding or training.
  • Excellent team building and management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office packages.
  • Desirable qualifications: Level 4 Food Processing Hygiene Management, Level 3 Food Safety qualification, and Level 2 HACCP qualification.
