About the Role:
Higgidy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hygiene Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Hygiene team, you will be responsible for ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, monitor, and review key performance indicators (KPIs) related to food safety and hygiene, reporting results to stakeholders and addressing any shortfalls to ensure client satisfaction.
- Prepare, review, and update service documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and training evidence, to ensure compliance with legal and auditing standards.
- Supervise all members of the hygiene crew, ensuring suitable labor coverage, holiday planning, sickness monitoring, and maintenance of all paperwork associated with hygiene responsibilities.
- Conduct regular site hygiene and fabrication inspections at pre-defined frequencies, triggering corrective action where necessary, and interface with engineering personnel as part of the site's Preventive Maintenance Plan.
Requirements:
- Hygiene experience gained from working in an FMCG manufacturing environment.
- Microbiology for Non-Microbiologists understanding or training.
- Team building and management skills.
- An excellent standard of both verbal and written English.
- Proficient with using Microsoft office packages.
- Level 4 Food Processing Hygiene Management (desirable).
- Level 3 Food Safety qualification (desirable).
- Level 2 HACCP qualification (desirable).
