This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of our business.
Key Responsibilities- Team Development: Develop and lead a high-performing team to deliver exceptional cleaning processes and ensure satisfactory completion and sign-off of all cleaning tasks.
- KPI Management: Develop, monitor, and review key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance and identify areas for improvement. Report results to stakeholders and implement corrective actions to ensure satisfaction is achieved.
- Documentation and Compliance: Prepare, review, and update service documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and training evidence, to ensure compliance with legal and auditing standards.
- Customer Engagement: Take an active role in customer visits and audits, presenting and explaining necessary due diligence information to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Operational Efficiency: Monitor and challenge efficiency, service levels, and labor utilization to maximize operational effectiveness and drive business growth.
- Personnel Management: Supervise all members of the hygiene crew, ensuring that personnel issues are addressed in a timely and effective manner, including suitable labor coverage, holiday planning, and sickness monitoring.
- Inspections and Maintenance: Conduct regular site hygiene and fabrication inspections at pre-defined frequencies, triggering corrective action where necessary, and interface with engineering personnel as part of the site's Preventive Maintenance Plan.
- Hygiene Experience: Proven experience in a food manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of hygiene principles and practices.
- Microbiology Knowledge: Understanding of microbiology principles, with training or certification in microbiology for non-microbiologists.
- Leadership and Management: Strong team building and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using Microsoft Office packages and other relevant software applications.
- Qualifications: Level 4 Food Processing Hygiene Management, Level 4 Listeria Management, Level 3 Food Safety qualification, and Level 2 HACCP qualification (desirable).
