Cardiology PCI Fellow Opportunity

The United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Clinical Fellow in Interventional Cardiology to join our team at the Lincolnshire Heart Centre, based at Lincoln County Hospital. This 12-month post will provide a unique opportunity for the successful applicant to consolidate their interventional cardiology training with a year of specialist training in all aspects of coronary intervention in a busy non-surgical tertiary referral centre.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform approximately 400 solo or first-operator procedures in a year
  • Contribute to research programmes and participate in clinical studies

The trust provides a comprehensive range of healthcare services to a local population of 750,000 patients. Our Interventional Cardiology service has performed over 900-1200 PCI procedures per year since 2014 and offers advanced imaging techniques, physiological assessment, and adjunctive treatments as required.

About the Role

This post would be most suitable for applicants with CCT in Cardiology who already have basic training in coronary intervention but wish to increase their experience in complex PCI and procedural numbers. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced cardiologists and interventional radiologists to deliver high-quality patient care.
