Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced Physiotherapist to join our South Powys Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy team as a Team Lead and Clinical Specialist. As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality musculoskeletal assessment and rehabilitation to Powys residents.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Line management of the South Powys MSK Physiotherapy team, including managing ESR, expenses, appraisals, and performance management of staff.
  • Liaising with the Head of Physiotherapy, service improvement manager, and admin team lead to support waiting list management.
  • Working as an autonomous practitioner managing a MSK caseload, including more complex cases as required.
  • Collaborating with other professions, including GPs, Consultants, Nurses, and other AHPs, to provide expert patient-centered musculoskeletal care.
  • Providing training, education, supervision, and appraisal for staff and students.
  • Contributing to the development of professional practice and the transformation and evaluation of service delivery.
  • Supporting the research and innovation agenda through participating in research and development activity.
  • Leading aspects of service evaluation with an emphasis on value-based care and audit.
  • Working in partnership with service users and staff to achieve improved health outcomes for service users and develop clinical pathways.

Person Specification
  • BSc Hons/equivalent
  • HCPC registration
  • Relevant postgraduate training at Masters Level or equivalent
  • Extensive postgraduate experience with significant experience at a Senior level
  • Experience of taking responsibility and managing complex caseloads
  • Experience of clinical supervision of junior staff and students
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Detailed knowledge of the principles of clinical governance and its application
  • Documented evidence of CPD
