We are seeking an experienced Trauma Therapist to join our dynamic and evolving Community CAMHS South Team. As a Trauma Specialist, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide specialist trauma assessments and interventions to children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively as part of the Community CAMHS South Team to provide specialist trauma assessments and interventions to children and young people.
- Act as a lead professional/care-coordinator for service users, co-facilitate group work, and liaise with systems connected to the young person and the multidisciplinary team within the Community CAMHS.
- Develop and maintain a caseload of children and young people with complex trauma and PTSD, providing evidence-based psychological therapies and interventions.
- Work with a variety of agencies to ensure a quality service is provided, including schools, social services, and other healthcare providers.
- Appropriate professional registered qualification (RMN, Social Worker, CBT Therapist, or equivalent) and membership of a registered statutory body (NMC, BABCP).
- Post-qualification training in trauma (trauma-focused CBT, EMDR, etc.) is desirable.
- Experience of working with children and young people with emotional and mental health difficulties and disorders, including complex trauma and PTSD.
- Ability to manage own caseload and time, and work under pressure.
