Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement trauma-based learning programmes for students to promote academic success and emotional well-being.
  • Provide individualised support to students who have experienced trauma, fostering a safe and nurturing learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a trauma-informed school culture, ensuring all students receive the support they need to thrive.
  • Monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Support the emotional well-being of students through counselling and guidance, helping them develop coping strategies and resilience.
Requirements:
  • Recognised teaching qualification and experience working with students who have experienced trauma.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed teaching practices and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and supportive learning environments, promoting student autonomy and motivation.
  • Strong empathy and patience when working with students, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
