About the Role

The Community CAMHS South Team is seeking an experienced Trauma Therapist/Trauma Specialist to join our dynamic and evolving service. As a key member of the team, you will provide specialist trauma assessment, formulation, and interventions with young people and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively as part of the Community CAMHS South Team to provide specialist trauma assessment, formulation, and interventions with young people and families.
  • Act as a lead professional/care-coordinator for service users, co-facilitate group work, and liaise with systems connected to the young person and the multidisciplinary team within the Community CAMHS.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with young people, families, and other professionals to ensure a high-quality service is provided.

Person Specification
  • Appropriate professional registered qualification (RMN, Social Worker, CBT Therapist, or equivalent) and membership of a registered statutory body (NMC, BABCP).
  • Post-qualification training in trauma (trauma-focused CBT, EMDR, etc.) is desirable.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with complex trauma and PTSD, as well as those with emotional and mental health difficulties and disorders.
  • Ability to manage own caseload and time, and work under pressure.
