Job Summary

At Balyasny Asset Management L.P., we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Portfolio Development Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our Portfolio Managers and Analysts to anticipate their needs and proactively provide solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support, train, and engage with investment professionals within a given business line or geographical region.
  • Operate as the point of contact for the full suite of Data Intelligence products and data to give our investment professionals a competitive advantage.
  • Maintain and expand BAM's Knowledge Base and Training materials based on user feedback and your experiences supporting various workflows.
  • Collaborate with and connect stakeholders across the firm to identify solutions, and product enhancements.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of professional experience in a customer service, implementation, or sales engineering function.
  • Bachelor's/master's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong ability to perform data analysis and wrangle data using Python. Understanding of SQL and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Git, Airflow is a plus.
  • Firm understanding of time-series data, third-party data vendors, and how they apply to quant and fundamental analysis. Prior experience with financial data and its use is strongly preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences in mind.
