About the Job:

We are looking for a Youth Support Professional to join our team and work with a young man aged 15 who is currently engaged in an alternative education program. The successful candidate will provide support to enable him to access community and leisure activities, promoting his independence and social skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing practical support with daily living skills and personal care.
  • Encouraging social interaction and participation in activities like forest school, gym, and outdoor adventures.
  • Helping to manage challenging behaviours and promoting positive mental health.
  • Supporting learning opportunities and educational development.
  • Maintaining open and effective communication with the young man, his family, and other professionals.

About the Ideal Candidate:

  • Passionate about working with young people with disabilities.
  • Patient and understanding, able to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
  • Creative and flexible, able to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Physically fit, able to participate in outdoor activities and physical exercise.
  • A good communicator, able to communicate effectively with the young man, his family, and other professionals.

Rate of Pay: £16.41 per hour Hours: 32.5 hours per week (term-time only)

This role may involve physical exertion and outdoor activities.
