Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a key member of the educational support staff, you will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a proactive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement strategies in line with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) in collaboration with teachers.
  • Deliver targeted interventions based on EHCP objectives to monitor and review progress.
  • Collaborate with a multi-agency team to provide holistic support for pupils.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment, encouraging children's confidence and independence.
  • Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies and promoting positive pupil engagement.
  • Support pupils in developing essential life skills and promoting their social, emotional, and academic well-being.
  • Adapt lesson plans and learning materials to meet individual needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and provide regular feedback.
  • Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities.
  • Support the school's safeguarding policies and procedures.

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD.
  • Knowledge of implementing EHCP targets and working within the SEN Code of Practice.
  • Passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
