Job Overview
West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Critical Care Physiotherapist to join our dedicated team. As a Band 7 specialist, you will provide high-quality advice and support to the multi-disciplinary team in critical care settings. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing complex ventilated patients, long-term ventilator weaning, and early rehabilitation.

About the Role
This is a full-time, permanent position with flexible working options available. The successful candidate will work closely with our critical care MDT, driving innovation of therapy provision with the wider multi-disciplinary team. You will lead on complex respiratory management, requiring skills in ventilation weaning, long-term ventilation, and early rehabilitation of critical care patients. The post emphasizes assessment and early rehabilitation within a specialist interdisciplinary team. Clinical supervision, appraisal, and teaching are key components of this role. You will also have opportunities for service development projects, audit, and leadership training.

A competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy or equivalent recognized by the Health Care Professionals Council. A physiotherapy degree qualification or equivalent is required, along with documented evidence of continued professional development of expanded specialist skills. Attainment or working towards a Post Graduate Degree or Qualification is desirable. Experience in similar roles is essential, with attendance at postgraduate courses in relevant fields.
