Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist to enhance clinical skills in our Inpatient Therapies Team at Watford General Hospital.

As a Band 6 Physiotherapist, you will provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, and physiotherapy treatment for patients with complex needs. Your expertise will play a key role in developing individualized treatment plans and leading physiotherapy input at multidisciplinary team meetings.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct advanced physiotherapy assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with complex presentations.
  • Lead physiotherapy input at multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings, contributing to discharge planning and patient care.
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to junior physiotherapists, assistants, and students.
  • Participate in the on-call rota for emergency respiratory care, working autonomously during evenings and weekends.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to audits and research projects to enhance service delivery.
