Job Title: Physiotherapist Position in Acute Care

Estimated Salary: £38,692 - £44,414 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced physiotherapist to join our Inpatient Therapies Team at Watford General Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing specialist assessment, diagnosis, and physiotherapy treatment for patients with complex physical and psychological needs.

Main Duties
  • Conduct advanced physiotherapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with complex presentations.
  • Lead the physiotherapy input at multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings, playing a key role in discharge planning.
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to junior physiotherapists, assistants, and students.
  • Participate in the on-call rota for emergency respiratory care, working autonomously during evenings and weekends.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to audits and research projects to enhance service delivery.

Requirements
  • A degree-qualified and HCPC-registered Physiotherapist with experience in an Acute NHS ward setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
