About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our team at The Cavalry Global. As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen, from the wok station to Dim Sum, ensuring that all dishes meet the highest standards of Chinese/Cantonese cuisine.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Oversee the entire kitchen, ensuring all dishes meet the highest standards of Chinese/Cantonese cuisine.
  • Support the Head Chef in delivering an exceptional menu, maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Train and develop junior chefs, sharing your expertise in wok cooking and Dim Sum techniques.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.
  • Assist with menu development and introduce innovative ideas that fit the restaurant's vision.
  • Be involved in new openings as the business grows.

Requirements:



  • Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef in a Chinese/Cantonese kitchen.
  • Amazing skills on the wok and a solid understanding of traditional techniques alongside knowledge of Dim Sum.
  • Strong leadership skills and a passion for teaching and developing junior chefs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • A genuine love for Chinese cuisine and a desire to create dishes that leave an impression.
  • A valid passport and good level of English to exceed the minimum standard for a UK skilled worker visa.
