SEN Teaching Support Assistant

We are currently recruiting a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work at a large SEND School based in Peterlee. The ideal candidate will have some knowledge and experience working with young people, as well as having gained experience in relevant roles.
The successful candidate will have:
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or the willingness to obtain one.
- A good knowledge of children with SEND and the support they need.
- Knowledge to conduct one-on-one or small group support with students, ensuring they can access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.
- The ability to assist with classroom activities, providing necessary accommodations and modifications to meet individual student's needs.
- Knowledge on monitoring and recording student progress, can report to teachers, and adapt support strategies when needed.
- Can assist with behavioural management, ensuring a safe and respectful school environment for all students.
