SEN Support Worker Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate SEN Support Worker to join our team at Pertemps Network Group. As a SEN Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to students with special educational needs, helping them to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing Support: You will work one-to-one and in small groups to provide personalized support to students, enabling them to access the curriculum and overcome challenges.
  • Assisting Students: You will assist students with everyday tasks, promote independence, and encourage them to take ownership of their learning.
  • Collaborating with Teachers: You will work closely with teachers to understand student needs, implement support plans, and contribute to a positive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience and Understanding: You must have a solid understanding of autism and/or experience in health and social care, supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective collaboration with students, teachers, and other support staff.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: You must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, adapt to changing circumstances, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
