About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Compassionate Carer Support Professional to join our Adult Community Mental Health Services Team in North Hertfordshire / Stevenage.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support to Carers, promoting their wellbeing and recovery, and enabling them to achieve their desired outcomes.

You will work closely with Service Managers, Team Leaders, and other senior staff to maximize the quality and quantity of Carer services within available resources.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing support to Carers, including assessment of their needs and development of personalized care plans.
  • Working quadrant-wide across both North Hertfordshire and Stevenage Adult Community Mental Health Services Teams.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring that Carers understand their pathway of support.
  • Responding to urgent situations and emergencies using local protocols.
  • Liaising with acute services and contributing to research on local need and development of groups to meet it.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of approximately £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including a staff benefits package and excellent career development opportunities.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NVQ Level 3 Qualification or Mental Health Certificate Level 3 (or agreement to undertake such training).
  • Commitment to continuing personal development.
  • Experience of direct work with Carers and ability to provide practical support.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including ability to use IT programs effectively.
  • Ability to analyze information and create innovative solutions.
