About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Midwife to join our team at East & North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As a midwife, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, personalized care to expectant mothers and their families throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period.

As a midwife in our trust, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including hospital wards, community clinics, and birth centers. You will be responsible for assessing the needs of women, partners, families, and carers, and providing evidence-based midwifery care that meets the highest standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing full antenatal care, including parenting classes, clinical examinations, and screening
  • Identifying high-risk pregnancies and developing plans to mitigate risks
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to women and their families throughout the pregnancy and postnatal journey
