Job Summary

The Clinical Educator will play a key role in providing clinically based practice development and education to the non-medical workforce. This includes delivering education programmes at a divisional level and working with the senior practice development and education team to co-develop specific education interventions. The successful candidate will be an experienced practitioner who can facilitate independent learning and work to an agreed job plan to maximise education delivery. They will also be responsible for coordinating the delivery and evaluation of training, ensuring that it is grounded in good practice and aligned with organisational priorities.

Main Duties
  • Act as an exemplary role model for best clinical practice and Trust values
  • Work alongside learners to facilitate their independent learning
  • Work to an agreed job plan to maximise education delivery to support staff and patient safety/experience
  • Manage their own time to ensure a balance between clinical education and education administrative activities
  • Actively promote and contribute to an inter-professional learning environment
  • Deliver education programmes at a divisional level and where required cross divisionally in support of organisational priorities
  • Work as part of the local and corporate practice development teams
  • Assist in anticipating and addressing the educational needs of the service
  • Work across boundaries to proactively develop and sustain partnerships
  • Participate in audit, service improvement and research projects relevant to the clinical educator role
