Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Educator to join our team at the John Radcliffe Hospital. As a Senior Clinical Educator, you will play a key role in delivering education programs to support staff and patient safety/experience. You will work closely with the local and corporate practice development teams to develop and implement education programs that meet the needs of our patients and staff.

Main Duties

Develop and deliver education programs to support staff and patient safety/experience
Supervise and manage clinical educators to promote effective working across the education team
Work to an agreed job plan to maximise education delivery
Manage and lead education teams
Develop, implement, and evaluate education programs
Evidence of ongoing professional development through maintenance of NMC revalidation
Evidence of specialist knowledge appropriate to the clinical area or practice development and education
Having or working toward a post-graduate certificate in teaching
Familiar with and able to effectively use common office software suites (e.g. MS Office)
Experience of coaching
Experience designing, delivering, and evaluating programs of education
Shows pride in the quality of care they provide for patients and provides evidence of learning from both successes and setbacks
Able to identify the role of education in fulfilling these values and demonstrates a passion for education in this context
Has and continues to measurably contribute to the education of learners and non-registered and less experienced staff
Demonstrates ability to maintain and contribute to the development of standards of practice, conduct or decision making in conjunction with team leaders/ward manager/unit co-ordinator
Able to effectively and appropriately escalate concerns to reduce risk and promote patient safety
Desirable
Has completed or is currently doing PG Certificate in Education
