Job Summary

The University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Team Administrator to join their Pharmacy Department. As a key member of the team, you will provide administrative support to the Chief Pharmacist and Management Team, ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day running of the department.

Main Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the Pharmacy Department, dealing with and escalating queries as necessary.
  • Assist the Senior Pharmacy Management Team and colleagues in administrative duties, including minute taking, transcription, and data entry.
  • Use judgment and planning to prioritize work schedules in accordance with changing and often conflicting priorities, liaising and negotiating with all relevant parties.
  • Provide a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service, including the organization of meetings, compiling and circulating agendas, and distributing minutes within agreed time scales.
  • Update action trackers, follow up, and document progress effectively, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Manage the Health Roster system, ensuring accurate input of overtime and on-call payments, TOIL, shift patterns, and all absence, in line with Trust Guidance.
