Job Overview

The role of Ecommerce Business Development Manager is crucial in driving the growth of our client’s business in Italy. As a key member of the EMEA Sales team, you will be responsible for managing the entire sales process from demo to closing, partnering with internal teams to ensure a seamless experience for clients.

Your primary goal will be to increase our market share in Italy by growing our net new business. You will achieve this by negotiating pricing and business terms with small to medium-sized ecommerce retailers, selling value as well as ROI. Building lasting relationships with C-level executives in customer prospects will also be a vital aspect of your job.

To be successful in this role, you must have a deep understanding of customers' existing cross-border models and be able to analyse their needs and business requirements. Consistently delivering on quarterly forecast commitments and achieving or exceeding sales quotas are essential performance metrics.


Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is £65,000, with opportunities for bonuses and benefits. The role is based in Central London, with a hybrid work arrangement that includes 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. With clients located globally, flexibility is required, and occasional out-of-office hours may be necessary.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 1+ years of direct B2B ecommerce/SaaS sales experience, completing demos and closing deals;
  • Prior experience working for an innovative tech company, preferably in ecommerce, and closing large-value deals in Italy;
  • A track record of net new business Enterprise sales, with consistent delivery against targets;
  • Credible communication and presentation skills in Italian and English;
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent;
