About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Health Specialist to join our team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Children's and Families Care Group, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to children, young people, and families across our region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to address a range of care and support issues, preventing unnecessary hospital admissions and improving the health and wellbeing of our population.
  • Develop and implement care and support packages for children and young people, ensuring they receive the best possible outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues, ensuring that services are delivered to a high standard and are accessible to all.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of local service specifications, ensuring that our services meet the needs of our community.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to identify and address areas for improvement, ensuring that our services are always evolving and improving.
Requirements
  • Registered nurse with SCPHN qualification.
  • Proven experience in public health, with a focus on children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously, with a high degree of initiative and creativity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
