As a Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of vehicles and waste management equipment, adhering to health and safety regulations and DVSA standards.
  • Performing scheduled preventative services and maintenance inspections to uphold Biffa's operator's licence commitments.
  • Working with a varied fleet, from light commercial vans to 44t articulated vehicles, providing ample opportunities to enhance your technical skills.

We are seeking dedicated professionals who may have previously held roles such as PSV Mechanic, Heavy Goods Technician, Lorry Mechanic, LGV Technician, or HGV Mechanic.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified with a level 3 HGV / PSV apprenticeship qualification or equivalent (City and Guilds/NVQ).
  • Technician level experience.
  • A valid car/van driving licence is essential.
  • HGV licence is desirable.
  • IRTEC Qualification is a plus.
