Shift Pattern – 06:00 - 15:00 / 14:00 - 23:00, rotating weekly. Overtime & Call Out Available

Monday to Friday (45 hours per week)

As a Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of vehicles and waste management equipment, adhering to health and safety regulations and DVSA standards.
  • Performing scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections to uphold Biffa's operator's licence commitments.
  • Working on a varied fleet, from light commercial vans to 44-ton articulated vehicles, providing ample opportunities for skill enhancement and professional growth.

We are seeking individuals with backgrounds in roles such as PSV Mechanic, Heavy Goods Technician, Lorry Mechanic, LGV Technician, or HGV Mechanic.

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified with a Level 3 HGV / PSV apprenticeship, City and Guilds, or NVQ qualification.
  • Technician level experience.
  • A valid car/van driving licence is required.
  • An HGV licence is preferred.
  • IRTEC qualification is advantageous.
