Monday to Friday (45hrs per week)

As a Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our vehicles and waste management equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting maintenance and repairs to comply with health and safety regulations and DVSA standards.
  • Performing scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections to uphold Biffa's operator's licence commitments.
  • Working on a diverse fleet, from light commercial vans to 44t articulated vehicles, providing ample opportunities for skill enhancement.

We welcome professionals with backgrounds in roles such as PSV Mechanic, Heavy Goods Technician, Lorry Mechanic, LGV Technician, and HGV Mechanic. If you are a skilled or semi-skilled Technician, we encourage you to reach out, as we offer opportunities for upskilling and career advancement.

Requirements

  • Completion of a full level 3 HGV / PSV apprenticeship qualification or equivalent (City and Guilds/NVQ).
  • Technician level experience.
  • A valid car/van driving licence is essential.
  • HGV licence is desirable.
  • IRTEC Qualification is a plus.
