About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Housing Support Specialist to join our team at The Social Interest Group. As a Housing Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing housing-related support to vulnerable adults and those from complex backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct communal support to participants by managing a caseload with key working responsibilities.
  • Work alongside community partners and other key stakeholders to ensure needs, objectives, and requirements of the service are met as a team and individually.
  • Provide effective outreach support to vulnerable adults to assist with tenancy sustainment, independent living, and promoting self-reliance.
  • Act as a primary support worker for a caseload of participants with different needs.
  • Provide face-to-face support, and contribute to the development of support plans, risk assessments, and reviews to a high standard.
  • Support the service and team to meet key KPIs and objectives.
Requirements
  • IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, basic Microsoft experience.
  • Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviors.
  • Understanding and/or practical application of key legislation regarding social care, housing, criminal justice, and mental health.
