About the Role:
We are seeking a senior HCPC-registered Clinical Embryologist with leadership and management skills to oversee our Embryology and Andrology laboratories, lead our growing PGT-A service, and contribute to research projects and the training of STP and other staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert clinical and scientific leadership.
- Manage laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with HFEA standards.

Requirements:
- Master's degree in a relevant subject.
- ACE or STP certificate.
- Minimum 5 years post-HCPC registration experience as a clinical scientist.
- Evidence of CPD.
- Diplomate of RCPath or able to apply.
Desirable Criteria:
- RCPath Fellow.
Experience:
- Experience of working as a Laboratory Manager in an IVF setting.
- Experience as an STP Training Officer or Trainer.
- Experience of working in a large and complex organisation in a similar role.
- Ability to motivate and inspire other team members.

Knowledge:
- Knowledge and experience in reproductive medicine.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice.

- Broad range of embryology skills including embryo biopsy for PGT.
- Ability to troubleshoot laboratory problems in a logical and systematic manner.
- Ability to set up appropriate quality control mechanisms in the laboratory.
- Broad range of IT skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clinical colleagues, colleagues in fertility and support staff.
- Excellent knowledge of, and ability to use, spoken and written English.
- Ability to present effectively to an audience, using a variety of methods, and to respond to queries.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing.
- Ability to deal sensitively and efficiently with members of the public, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to break bad news to patients with empathy where appropriate.
- Ability to train and supervise junior members of the lab staff.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership skills.
